I love camping!

August 17, 2009 at 3:05 pm

As much as I love being a complete nerd and spending 110% of my life on the computer, or on my iPhone…
Sometimes it’s nice to just get away and be where there’s absolutely no cell service or internet.

Which is why I’ve been camping 4 times already this summer :) Plus 1 more time for the September long weekend.

I can hardly wait!

If you’re looking for an amazing spot to go camping in Ontario, you definitely have to check out Killbear. It’s entirely too gorgeous :)

Finally!

So, after 2+ years I can finally say I have quit Blast Radius.

It’s crazy how fast time flies by, how many things change and how amazing it feels to be moving on to something new.

In case you’re wondering, I’m actually going back to school full time so that I can finally finish my degree.
I’ve been taking part time courses these past two years but it’s just been going by sooooo slowly!

It’s back to studying for me, and I could not be more excited!

Farm Apps!

August 10, 2009 at 2:27 pm

Seriously…

I’ve been spending way too much time worrying about my crops in the Farmville app for Facebook.

Not only that but the Ranch Rush app for the iPhone.

Both are super wonderful. If I’m not your Facebook friend you should add me so we can play Farmville together. I’m super good at clearing out crows from your farm :)

Sadly, my iPhone app totals have reached 6 pages AGAIN. Even after I got it down to 2 pages. Sigh. I need a parental block on the app store. Is that possible?

Vancouver!

Here’s a pretty big recap of my trip to Vancouver!

Well, we got off the plane and of course needed a way to the hotel…
In Vancouver, a limo is cheaper than ANY cab in Toronto!

We checked into the hotel, and of course I took pictures of the room.

Then we wandered around downtown for a bit, and stopped at a Mediterranean restaurant for dinner called Scoozis
We got some spinach dip to start, and then my mom had the lasagna and I had the cannelloni. For dessert we shared a huge but amazing cookie.

We were pretty worn out by that point, so we went back to the hotel to get some rest.

The next morning we headed to White Spot for breakfast (which became our daily breakfast spot because it was so good)! I got an extra egg in place of the meat I no longer eat :)

After filling up on breakfast we headed to Stanley Park.

Somehow we managed to find the aquariam. Which was pretty awesome, but also pretty tiny.

After a day at the Aquarium we somehow ended up on a bus tour of Stanley Park/Downtown Vancouver…
Which we later found out as an $80 tour, and not something you should be getting for free :)

Later that night, my mom’s amazing friends ;) brought us up to Grouse Mountain.
There was a Gondola ride and WAY too much delicious food. I almost exploded later. True story.

Back to the hotel we went, and once I awoke from my food coma it was WHALE WATCHING TIME!
We saw bald eagles, seals and lots of whales!
There was also a tour of Victoria, but that was pretty boring in comparison. Especially because I was sunburnt and cranky.

After a whole day of whale watching, we went back to the hotel to sleep…

Of course, we loved whale watching so much that we decided to go AGAIN.
We saw more whales, seals and bald eagles.

After another exhausting day, we headed to grabs ome dinner at Earls.

The food was amazing and so was the service!

After dinner we headed to bed, and had to wake up on Sunday and head home…
Of course or plane was delayed by 3 hours, so I spent my time hanging out at the YVR airport. Fortunately they have free wifi so I managed to survive.

That about sums up my trip to Vancouver!

Of course, you can see more pictures on Flickr :)

Yikes!
